RIPE NCC assisted e-learning and certification track for IPv6 Fundamentals
Description
Welcome to the RIPE NCC assisted e-learning and certification track for IPv6 Fundamentals!
In a joint effort with Forum Standaardisatie, RIPE NCC is offering assisted e-learning and certification track for IPv6 Fundamentals course and exam tailored for government employees to help expand their basic skills in IPv6. The course is created with the goal to help participants understand and apply the IPv6 standard which is mandatory for the government.
It consists of three elements:
- IPv6 Fundamentals E-learning course You will have to follow the different parts of the course on your own time to get ready for the Q&A support sessions and eventually for the exam.
- Q&A support sessions: RIPE NCC’s trainers will answer your questions and clarify your doubts about the e-learning content addressed in that session. Make sure to study the e-learning corresponding content for each session in advance.
Registering for this track will give you access to the 6 Q&A support sessions. You are expected to participate in all of them.
- Certification Exam: RIPE NCC’s Certified Professionals programme will offer you one proctored exam that will allow you to earn a digital badge you can share with your network. The voucher for the exam will be emailed to you after the last Q&A support session.
Be aware that this is a specialised course focused on IPv6, although it starts from a basic level, it is assumed you are familiar with common IP terminology and have practical knowledge of running an IP network.
It’s also important to know that this track will require time and following the schedule to be able to learn and get ready for the certification on time. See below the detailed schedule:

IPv6 Fundamentals Analyst Exam
More info here:
An IPv6 Fundamentals – Analyst is proficient in calculating IPv6 subnets according to current best practices and creating IPv6 addressing plans. Candidates who hold this certification have demonstrated the ability to identify and describe how the different IPv6 supporting protocols work and impact their networks. These candidates can also identify different use cases for specific transition mechanisms, as well as the reasons to migrate from IPv4 to IPv6.
